This is the cheat code in one screenshot: 59.82% of returns from EBITDA growth, 44.78% from multiple expansion, dividends basically irrelevant.

Although I will say that trying to find companies that add value through acquisitions is probably more work than ever desired unless you're looking exclusively at serial acquirers. 83% of acquisitions fail to add value for shareholders. And at that point, with the amount of effort you're putting into it, you're putting down dollars to pick up quarters."
